DESIGN PACKAGING INC.
ROLE | BRAND & PaCKAGING DESIGNER
2019 - Business sold to Vivabox Solutions
1. Brand Redesign
Direction: Chris Turbyfill (CEO), Design: Michael Gwynn
The initial task - Refresh the brand and align it with a more current and well poised plan for social and digital engagement. This was the first thing we discussed after my introductions at Design Packaging Inc, and the project kicked off only weeks after my hire. We built a plan, timeline, and a deck of initial thoughts which are highlighted below as well as the last stages of work.
The slides below show excerpts from communications outlining roadmarks and initial inspirations.

2. Website Concept
Direction: Chris Turbyfill (CEO), Design: Michael Gwynn
Putting the brand to use - The next step after the rebrand was to update the digital presence, both socially and at the main site. While branding reached its end stages I began building a wireframe for a more modern and fashion-forward website. Looking to add life to the brand while maintaining a very monotone brand image was important so motion was a requirement.
3. Packaging
Direction: Chris Turbyfill (CEO), Design: Michael Gwynn
The day to day - While the brand itself needed to be focused on, the client work was still there. At my entry I functioned as the sole visual designer on the team, so integration within both the structural and visual packaging design processes was a daily activity.
A portfolio of packaging projects can be seen by request; respecting clients’ anonymity.
